Zahra is a schoolgirl whose grandmother (Mama in the title of the
story) lives at home with their family. Mama is a fantastic cook
who is always cooking; she often makes food to order for customers.
One day, Mama falls ill and she goes to hospital. Zahra visits her
in the hospital and realises that Mama is not going to get better.
Mama dies soon after and the family buries her that day. Some time
later, Zahra's mom and aunt sort out Mama's belongings and share
special memories of their mother. Zahra's mother decides to collect
all Mama's special recipes and publish a cookbook. The last page in
the book gives a recipe for Mama's butter beans curry.
