Elizabeth Blake was one of Early America's greatest physical
spiritual mediums, demonstrating her gift in the tiny hamlet of
Bradrick, Ohio chiefly between the years 1860 to 1920. Mrs. Blake
worked non-stop for nearly sixty years, and sat for more than
200,000 people in that time. With the exception of her night
circles which she held usually when requested, she sat in broad
daylight, along with one of the most unique characteristics of her
sZances, using a double-sided, lightweight metal tube or
""trumpet."" Through painstaking research, the noted spiritualist
historian N. Riley Heagerty has pieced back together much of the
mysterious puzzle of Mrs. Blake, practically lost in time. This
plain, assuming woman talked with those on the ""Other Side,""
freely giving of her time to help the grief-stricken reconnect and
converse with loved ones, long thought lost forever.
