Specifically, this book is intended to examine whether the Japanese occupation initiated developments that transformed Sarawak's history. In addition, the book examines whether the Japanese occupation of Sarawak was a turning point in the country's history or whether it was no more than a rude interruption in Sarawak's physical and mental development.
