The influence of academic schools and concepts from Europe, notably
from France, Germany and Britain, was profounf within Spanish
archaeology of the 19th and early 20th century. This study looks at
the influence of European traditions, in particular on the concept
of the Celtiberian world, within Spanish school/ The author
examines nationalist agendas and ideological movements both within
and outside Spain and the adoption of European concepts through
non-Spanish archaeologists working in Spain, through Spaniards
studying abroad and in trading theoretical concepts. Spanish text.
