Oxford Coding and Robotics
Apprentice Level 1, in partnership with Resolute Education, comprises a
Workbook and Teacher's Guide., for use with the Music and Lights
Components Kit. This level introduces learners to the world of
block-based coding and the Micro:Bit.
Features
- Clear photos of circuitry and screenshots of coded text teach the
key knowledge, skills and values that will help learners progress step
by step from creating and testing code in a simulated environment to
debugging, uploading and executing the program they created.
- Guided by CLANK the robot, learners use Scratch to code using
motion, sensing light and temperature, and conditional statement blocks.
- Learners then use the Micro:bit to practise inputs with buttons,
piano touchpad and shake input, outputs with LEDs, LED array, and
buzzers.
- The accompanying kit provides all the components learners will
need to build their project, while the Resolute online platform
contains supplementary materials, interactive exercises and multimedia
resources that complement key lessons.
