Frustrated with life and eager for change, both Dr. Evan Miles and
Machaia James leave their hometowns of Orlando, FL and Nashville,
TN, looking for a fresh start and better circumstances in Chicago.
They both hope to find strength in the life-long friendships they
have with Gregory Gray and Sandra Townsend. Instead, they find that
their personal heroes are very human, and are struggling to cope
with crippling problems, in their own lives. Told from both of
their powerful first person perspectives, Evan and Machaia's escape
from their hometown drama leads them into a head on collision with
life, helps them find the inner strength to save their friends, and
offers them the powerful gift of love they find in each other.
