This spectacular volume, co-published with the Centro Botin,
collects the works shown in the Picasso Ibero exhibition, where the
relationship of the genius from Malaga to Iberian art is analyzed.
The artist probably came into contact with the Iberian universe
when he was still living between Madrid and Barcelona, but it was
during his visits to the Louvre Museum in Paris that this encounter
came to life. The book splendidly shows this fertile relationship,
comparing works by Picasso with Iberian pieces from the Louvre and
the main Spanish archaeological museums, to form an intense and
beautiful artistic dialogue.
