Brooklyn Robinson is a bright and articulate African American
woman, who grew up in a poor household. Her parents divorced
shortly before she was born, leaving her mother to raise she and
her brother. Her brother became an abusive alcoholic and was feared
by both she and her mother. He was later killed in an accident.
When her mother died from cancer, Brooklyn was left terribly alone.
Through sheer determination she earned her Ph.D in Psychology. She
left her small home town to start a new life in California. There
she secured a teaching job at a university near Los Angeles. She
meets gorgeous, sexy, millionaire, lawyer and model Tristan
Alexander who takes her breath away. They are immediately attracted
to each other however, Brooklyn is hesitant to become involved in a
biracial relationship. Tristan is persistent in pursuit of her, and
Brooklyn finds that she cannot and does not want fight her feelings
for him. Together they will come face to face with their own
personal demons. Brooklyn will have to share her past, and
Tristan's world will be forever changed as rejection, prejudice and
the secret his father has kept from him for 27 years is revealed.
