This book contributes to an understanding of the creative life of
one artist, Pat Musick, over a forty-year period. Photographs
document her drawings, paintings and sculpture as she develops from
two to three dimensional considerations. Essays by twelve museum
directors and curators accompany the images. Musick, whose work is
in the permanent collections of forty-eight museums and public
spaces in the United States, has an MA and PhD from Cornell, has
taught at the University level and written three books. Her work
has progressed from an expressionistic, figurative style to
abstract. The current work of wood, steel and stone reflects
harmony and peace in the environment.
