  • For recycling: charcoal filters must be used and these should never be washed. they should be changed every 6 months, according to the frequency of use of the cookerhood.
  • There will be a reduction in the rate of extraction as the air now has to move through the charcoal filters as well. There may be a slight increase in noise level, as additional pressure is placed on the motor. Don’t forget to order charcoal filters, which are not sold with the hood, but sold as an accessory. Make sure that the airflow can leave without obstruction: no furniture or racks, which could stop the exit of air. Where regular grilling (hot-rock for example) or heavy frying is a common occurrence, one should look at commercial extraction options. Some of the larger extractors may require 2 sets of carbon filters.
