This is the annual Economic Report of the President for 2006
originally issued by the Council of Economic Advisers to the
President. Each year in February, the Council of Economic Advisers
submits this report on its activities during the previous calendar
year in accordance with the requirements of the Congress as set
forth in section 10(d) of the Employment Act of 1946.The 2006
Economic Report of the President topics related to leading economic
issues such as: * A review of economic developments in 2005 as well
as the forecast for 2006 through 2010.* Current annual financial
goals concerning topics, including employment, production, real
income and Federal budget outlays.* Employment objectives for
significant groups of the labor force.* Annual financial goals and
a program for carrying out program objectives.The Economic Report
of the President has been published since 1950 and is available on
GPO Access at www.gpo.gov from 1995 forward. A searchable database
of the Economic Report of the President is available from 1996
forward. A database of Presidential Economic Reports is available
in several digital formats at http: //www.whitehouse.gov/cea/.
