The feedback received from our readers and the pattern of questions
asked in various competitive exams in the current years have been
the major factor kept in mind while preparing this book.
Consequently, many new chapters like Geom etry, Fundamentals of
Trigonometry, Linear and Quadratic Equations, Progressions,
Polygons etc. have been incorporated. Special emphasis has been
laid on short-cut approach to solving the questions as early as
possible. The reference of questions asked in various competitive
examinations, collected from various examinees on their memory
basis, have been given. It is very much hoped that the new subject
matter will instil a confidence among the readers and help them
