The "resource-oriented narrative trauma therapy with children and
adolescents with complex trauma disorders" (ResonaT) is a gentle
form of trauma processing through animal stories. In her
understanding of therapy, she refers to Klaus Grawe's active factor
model and the neurobiological self-healing process of memory
reconsolidation. Regina Hiller and Thomas Hensel combine a compact
presentation of existing narrative approaches and a theoretical
foundation of the ResonaT method with a collection of a total of 90
example narratives for different topics and situations. This
selection of pre-formulated animal stories enables the therapist to
work with the approach in daily practice without much additional
writing effort.
