In his lighthearted autobiography Captain Robert Bailey gives us a
glimpse of the Music Hall: his Father a professional comedian. He
tells of his adventures with boats on the Thames and shipwrecked
off Foulness Island. Second World War conscription was a shock as
he was in his thirties. He volunteered for the Indian Army.
Adventures in India include being 'Bob Bailey Bathroom Baritone' on
All India Radio. This was followed by his caravanning in a
motorhome (recreational vehicle) adventures particularly in Spain.
His adventures included dabbling in property in Eire. Captain
Robert Bailey has also written a book of lighthearted poetry "Aroma
of a Rebel." His daughter is Pesha
