Included are chapters on civil rights leader Clara Luper, baseball great Joe Carter, basketball icon and musician Wayman Tisdale, as well as Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher, Roscoe Dunjee, All-Black Towns, the Buffalo Soldiers, and Desegregation. This edition of the book includes educational activity pages following each chapter.About the author: Rochelle Stephney-Roberson was born and raised in Oklahoma City.
