Roman architecture is incredibly rich, both in the techniques it
employed and the variety of buildings it produced, many of which
are still standing and visible. This book places emphasis on the
technical aspects of that architecture, and studies the tools and
materials used, partly by studying modern parallels in the
Mediterranean area.
