Diversity of Gymnospermic plants in Bangladesh was carried out. 20
species of different families were collected and identified. A
complete taxonomic account of each species with current
nomenclature, different common names, description of the plant,
cultivation, geographic description and uses were described. The
country has four wild species, C. pectinata is regionally
threatened and the two Gnetum species have become rare while the
populations of P. nerifolia are depleted. Immediate appropriate
conservation measures are needed to protect these species in the
country
