CUENTOS DE PERRAULT: Spanish Edition THIS EDITION: The Spanish
translation has been converted into a segmented format, and has
been modernised and amended, for a dual language project. The
stories were originally written in French. BRIEF SYNOPSIS: This
book is a collection of eight fairy tales that were originally
published in 1697. The Grimm brothers rewrote many of these
stories. However, in many ways they are remarkably different
versions. The full title as translated into English is, "Tales and
Stories of the Past with Morals: Tales of Mother Goose." The
Spanish subtitle is, "Los Cuentos de Mama Ganso." The stories
include: La Bella Durmiente; La Cenicienta; Meniquin; El Gato con
Botas; Roquete del Copete; Barba Azul; Las Hadas; Caperucita Roja.
AUTHOR: Charles Perrault (1628 - 1703) is often times considered
the founder of the modern fairy tale genre. Although, some of his
stories follow themes from earlier authors, and he did not coin the
phrase 'fairy tale'. (For a Dual-Language Book Project) 2Language
