Hospital shop steward Lenny Moss is pulled into a new murder
investigation when a practical joke he initiated backfires. A
beautiful pharmaceutical sales rep has been found murdered in the
hospital, and Lenny and his co-workers are implicated. His only
chance of saving them all from termination is to organize the
workers to find the killer. Suspicions fall on an ego-maniacal
transplant surgeon demanding a million dollars for an unproven
procedure and on a GI physician involved in a suspicious drug
study. Meanwhile, a brutal heat wave is sending laundry workers to
the Emergency Room with heat stroke, but the administration resists
Lenny's demand that they cool the laundry down. With emotions and
bodies heating up, Lenny finds himself boxed in a dangerous corner
with no way out but for the help of his many friends throughout the
hospital.
