"A Book in the Dialect of Northern Minnesota" is written to express
what and how I feel about life around me. I got the title from John
Keats' book, "A Book in the Dialect of the Lakes Country," that I
read in my early twenties. After thirty plus years of writing, I
decided to publish what was salvageable from about 1000 pages of
manuscript. My publisher wants me to highlight my credentials as a
writer, so I will say my highest credential is that I love God, and
in his name, Jesus, I dedicate this book. What I have written has
been an on-going process for most of my fifty-two years on earth,
and I am thankful to be able to share some of my thoughts with my
readers. My influences as a writer were the world and the people
that God created, but mainly God Himself. Jesus alone is my
credential as a writer and, of course, any and all imperfections in
my writing are mine and not His.
