Frank Sanders was a name on the tip of the tongue of many a
Minnesota hockey fan in 1972. He was a high school hockey star and
the captain of the WCHA champion Minnesota Gopher hockey team.
After winning a silver medal in the 1972 Olympics he had the job of
shadowing the great Bobby Hull in his rookie year as a pro. The
world was on his plate. Yet, he did the unthinkable by walking away
from it all after his rookie season. The decision shocked not only
fans, but also his wife, friends, and family. Read Frank's
inspiring and compelling story in From Silver to Gold: One Man's
Pursuit of the Ultimate Prize.
