This is 'Textbook Level Two of the 7-book series 'Madinah Arabic Course for Children' aimed for second year elementary school children. The series contains three textbooks, three workbooks and a calligraphy skills book. ('Arabic Calligraphy Made Easy')

It has been developed, modified, improved and tested over a period of several years to make it as suitable as possible for children learning Arabic for the first time (specifically non-native speakers) and particularly for those who are just able to recognize Arabic letters and sounds.

It is a full-color, A-4 sized book filled with pictures, illustrations, and large sized fonts appropriate for children, as well as extra pages for dictation at the end of the book. Additionally, it has been printed on non-glossy paper and therefore can be written on in pencil, and allows for easy erasing.

'Textbook Level Two' is so easy that virtually anyone with basic Arabic skills can teach it. This is especially true for those who have undergone Dr V. Abdur Rahim's famous 'Madinah Arabic Course' (the adult series) or taught 'Level One' of the Children's series.

It contains 17 chapters, and is 72 pages long.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Dr V. Abdur Rahim, a scholar of the Arabic language, has revolutionized the way non-native speakers throughout the world perceive, learn, and master the Arabic language. He has 50 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers as well as Arabs themselves. For 30 years he was Professor of Arabic at the world-renowned Islamic University, Madinah, Saudi Arabia. With his knowledge of foreign languages he is acutely aware of the learning needs of non-native speakers, particularly first-time learners.

Based on precise teaching methods, a crisp writing style, and techniques that ensure that students are grounded on the fundamentals first before the details, Dr V. ABOUT THE REVISER/CO-AUTHOR:

Muhammad Taha Abdullah is an American convert to Islam since 1989. He studied at the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia in the early 1990's and has been teaching Arabic for almost 20 years. He has written over 25 books related to Arabic and Dr V. Abdur Rahim's revolutionary books and methodology. Muhammad Taha resides in Malaysia.

HOW THIS BOOK WAS MADE:

This book was created with Adobe InDesign. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Middle Eastern versions) were used for the drawings, illustrations and pictures. The document was converted into a PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Only Traditional Arabic Bold was used which I've modified using a font creator program; bold dark blue for captions, bold pink for feminine verbs, bold purple for text, and bold brown for examples. Font size begins at 36, and ends at 31. For page numbers I've used Simplified Arabic as I've found it to be a bit easier to distinguish.
