Hegel - A Reinterpretation (Paperback)

This is the most important work Professor Kaufmann has written since his celebrated ??Nietzsche. It comes at an extremely advantageous moment: a reawakening of interest in Hegel is now very much brewing in the academic community. Of course, reactions to or transformations of Hegelianism have long been with us, whether of the marxist variety, or in aesthetics (Croce and Dilthey) or through the long existentialist phase from Kierkegaard to Sartre, or even Bertrand Russell's vituperative remarks. Yet though Hegel's influence is immense, be has, especially in Anglo-Saxon circles, received only partial, frequently blased, considerations.
