This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th
International Conference on Computer Analysis of Images and
Patterns, CAIP 2007, held in Vienna, Austria, in August 2007.
The 120 revised full papers presented together with 3 invited
lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from 251 submissions.
The papers are organized in topical sections on motion detection
and tracking, medical imaging, biometrics, colour, curves and
surfaces beyond two dimensions, reading characters, words, lines
etc., image segmentation, shape, im age registration and matching,
signal decomposition and invariants, as well as features and
classification.
