Sweetwater area of Florence, Alabama in the late 19th and early
20th centuries. Mr. McDonald gives detailed accounts of such
notable people from the area such as Governor Robert Miller Patton,
teacher and writer Maud Lindsay, Judge William B. Woods, as well as
many others. He also covers the major industries and businesses in
the area, and the people who built these businesses and industries.
Mixed in with all the information contained in Remembering
Sweetwater are over 150 pictures of various people, places, and
things. The book contains a detailed Table of Contents to aid in
navigation, and a detailed Index of Names at the end of the book to
aid in the location of particular individuals.
