Adigraf is a simple system for making printing plates by cutting into a soft rubbery sheet. These engraving plates measuring 24 x 15cm are for use with Adigraf engraving tools.
Adigraf sheets are much easier to cut than traditional lino, etc., and specialised engraving points, mounted in a handle, allow you to almost 'draw' your designs straight on to the plate.
Once complete, the plate can be inked with a roller and pressed on to paper, etc., or even walls, as an alternative to stencilling.

Daler-Rowney Adigraf Block Printing Mediums are the perfect complement to the block printing range. The mediums are designed to help with your block printing needs.

Adigraf Acrylic Block Printing Medium turns acrylic paint into block and lino printing ink. This Block Printing Medium is designed to be mixed with System3 paints on 1.5 parts medium to 1 part paint ratio. We do not advise mixing this medium with Adigraf Water Soluble Inks.

Once the drawing fluid is dry, the entire screen surface is then blocked out with System 3 Removable Screen Block, applied by squeegee. Again, once dry, the previously drawn image is washed out in cold water to leave an open-mesh positive image ready for printing. The screens can be reclaimed after printing by washing out the screen block with hot water and soap. Screen Block should be kept upright and stored at normal room temperature.

Screen Drawing Fluid is applied by brush directly to the screen to create the drawn image. It can be applied neat, but will probably require some dilution with water in areas with finer detail.

The two combine to produce economical, low-odour, water-based screen printing ink which is regarded worldwide as the finest of its kind. System3 Screen Printing Medium slows down on-screen drying of acrylic colour, reducing the risk of screen blocking and making it easier to wash out. If screens are kept moist System3 Screen Printing Medium will wash out easily with soap and water. It can be thinned with water. Even after mixing with System3 Screen Printing Medium, System3 Acrylic colours retain a great density of colour, and very substantial covering power can be achieved on paper, card and board.
