I know it's not that popular anymore;I know I may be shown the door, But I submit this book of poetryFor the whole world to see.I am a very simple man;I try to do the best that I can.My skill level is not that high;I do what I do to get by.We all try to change the world;Sometimes we don't know where we're hurled. But wherever that place will be;No one can take these words away from me.We live in an age that is very fast-paced;We all need to slow down-yes, the whole human race.If this book can help you change your mind, Then the rest of the world won't be far behind.Poems of love and hate, peace and war, and romanceI would like to thank you in advance;Thank you for taking the time to read my words; My deepest wish is that they lift you up to fly with the birds.Aaron Jones was inspired to begin writing poetry through the influence of his brother's band. As the title of the collection suggests, his verse is set the form of song and is intended to be set to music.
Aaron Jones began writing poetry in the late 1980s. He was inspired by his brother Eddie's band, Southern Acoustic, to compose his poems in the form of songs so they could be easily adapted to music. Aaron's series of poetry collections is entitled Lyrics in Search of Music due the fact that Eddie could not write music to words already written. Aaron's poetry covers a wide range of topics, from the ups and downs of love to taking one step at a time to get one's life back on track. He has created his poetry collection with the hope that at least one poem may have life breathed into it through the pairing of his lyrics with the right music. Each poem a lyrical feast waiting to be launched by the perfect melody. "A unique journey towards mankind's constant search for hope. It closely mirrors emotions that everyone experiences and can easily relate to .... The elements of great music lie within these pages waiting to be discovered " -Maleah Bagwell, LMSW

Karen Drake's Please Be Quiet humorously examines the most negative aspect of apartment life -- noisy neighbors. In this children's story, Herman is plagued each night by neighbors who sing, dance, cry and bark. Despite Herman's polite requests for quiet, the disturbances persist until Herman gives his neighbors a taste of their own medicine. This book teaches compromise and respect for mutual space. The simple vocabulary and sentence structure emphasizes directions and sound words. An added touch is the vivid illustrations by Aaron C. Jones.
