Now a day, it seems that with the aid of modern technologies, ship design has become easier and convenient for the Naval Architects (N A) . However, expertise knowledge of various design software can not alone ensure a high degree of proficiency in ship design process. To become an expert designer it is very important for a N A to know the basic logic, theories, hypotheses, thumb rules of ship design based on which the software are developed. A clear understanding of these background knowledge will help the designer to operate and modify the software more effectively. Based on these ideas, the aim of this book is to provide a complete, fundamental understanding of the ship design procedure through the systematic explanation of each major step of an 'oil tanker design'. The application of unani medicine in the presentation and cure of disease is more than five thousand years old. However this system of medicine flourished in Indo-Pak sub-continents since 12th century AD. This book highlights the effective treatment of a very common ailment acute tonsilitis, acute pharynigitis and acute pharyngotonsilitis. Both treatment options, herbal and allopathic, have been studied in detail through case control direct unicentre prospective randomized clinical trial. Plants used in the herbal treatment include Glycerrhiza glabra, Trigonella foenum gracium, Solanium nigrum, Alpinia galanga, Cordia dichotoma and Morus nigrum versus Cephradine sodium, a cephalosporine drug. The purpose of the present research work was to carryout clinical study on primary dysmenorrhoea to comparatively examine the coded herbal drug formulation with authentic allopathic medicines. A random controlled clinical trial was conducted to compare the effectiveness and safety of coded herbal medicinal treatment Dysmo-off with Voren. In this study clinical trial statistical data so generated and the results conclusively obtained proved that coded herbal medicine Dysmo-off had a significant greater improvement in combined symptoms of dysmenorrhoea compared with those of Voren treatment so the null hypothesis was strongly rejected on the basis of p value calculated by chi- square test in both treatment groups. The conclusion deduced that Dysmo-off is effective and safe for the treatment of dysmenorrhoea when compared with Voren.

This research proposes a new model to identify conflicts in the requirement gathering process. The model is based on the matrix mechanism to identify the quality based conflicts. Various models are studied critically in this research with the help of a case study.A number of limitations have been observed from the studied models. The proposed model which is tested theoretically overcomes many of the above mentioned problems. The proposed model uses the matrix mechanism to identify the quality based conflicts and the conflicting quality attributes are mapped to low level functionality using the matrices to identify the potential conflicts. The proposed model achieves the simplification of automation, identification of conflicts among product and process requirements, identification of false conflicts, decreases the documentation overhead and transparent identification of conflicts. Most of these achievements are not completely under taken by most of the present models.
