This new book is the second volume in a two-volume "mini-series" devoted to representing diverse and innovative ecocritical voices from throughout the world, particularly from developing nations (the first volume, Ecoambiguity, Community, and Development, appeared in 2014). The vast majority of existing ecocritical studies, even those which espouse the "postcolonial ecocritical" perspective, operate within a first-world sensibility, speaking on behalf of subalternized human communities and degraded landscapes without actually eliciting the voices of the impacted communities. We have sought in Ecocriticism of the Global South to allow scholars from (or intimately familiar with) underrepresented regions to "write back" to the world's centers of political and military and economic power, expressing views of the intersections of nature and culture from the perspective of developing countries. This approach highlights what activist and writer Vandana Shiva has described as the relationship between "ecology and the politics of survival," showing both commonalities and local idiosyncrasies by juxtaposing such countries as China and Northern Ireland, New Zealand and Cameroon. The two volumes of the Ecocriticism of the Global South Series point to the need for further cultivation of the environmental humanities in regions of the world that are, essentially, the front line of the human struggle to invent sustainable and just civilizations on an imperiled planet.

In "Leeds United: It's more than just a game!" lifelong Leeds fan Adrian Taylor tells his story of the club's fight for promotion to the Premiership in their Centenary season. Adrian writes with passion and humour about his life and experiences - from being an uninspired student to completely failing to become a professional footballer, through to the joys of parenthood and the wonderful challenges of being a grandparent. Adrian Taylor, the creator of the Gentleman's Counsel, is an inspiring young man from Gulfport, Mississippi. He is the youngest of four children between his parents Kenneth and Annie Taylor. During his written journey, he opens up about his life's struggles while growing up with all odds against him, in the Deep South. His heart declares that God had a plan to break him down, to build him up into the man He needed him to be. Adrian has been through so much to be so young in years and is truly a walking testimony. His book could encourage the lives of teenagers through the adults young at heart; I believe anyone that reads his book will find motivation and angst to know more about his continual growth. It's Already Written, and it is up to Adrian to continue to fill pages of his life with the ink of God's Will for his life. -Sometimes we see the finished product but never witness the developmental stages. - Adrian Taylor
Faith Focus Volume #1 is a compilation of weekly encouragements designed to educate Christian Believers on the principles of faith. Since the Bible declares 4 times that "the just shall live by faith," it is important that we grow in our knowledge of faith so our life can be enriched and strengthened as we endeavor to live a life that pleases God. This book is designed to be used as a devotional and spiritual study guide for prayer and small group discussions. Each Faith Focus entry includes questions that will provoke deeper thought and meditation. As you consider the significance of each entry, utilize the note section to journal any ideas which may arise as you ponder the principles of faith.
