The book is comprised of lectures and selected contributions presented at the Enzo Levi and XVI Annual Meeting of the Fluid Dynamic Division of the Mexican Physical Society in 2010. It is aimed at fourth year undergraduate and graduate students, as well as scientists in the fields of physics, engineering and chemistry with an interest in fluid dynamics from the experimental and theoretical point of view. The lectures are introductory and avoid the use of complicated mathematics. The other selected contributions are also geared to fourth year undergraduate and graduate students. The fluid dynamics applications include multiphase flow, convection, diffusion, heat transfer, rheology, granular material, viscous flow, porous media flow, geophysics and astrophysics. Each solution works to address the time-constraint, accuracy, complexity, and other difficulties that come with warehouse item picking. The book covers topics such as grasping and gripper design, vision and other forms of sensing, actuation and robot design, motion planning, optimization, machine learning and artificial intelligence, software engineering, and system integration, among others. Through this book, the authors describe how robot systems are built from the ground up to do a specific task, in this case, item picking in a warehouse setting. The UML 2004 conference was held in Lisbon (Portugal) from October 11 through October 15, 2004. It was the seventh conference in a series of annual events that started in 1998. UML has rapidly become one of the leading venues to present and discuss the development of object-oriented modeling. In order to re?ect the changes in the ?eld, the UML conference series will be continued from 2005 onwards under the name MODELS (Model Driven En- neering, Languages and Systems). This volume is a compilation of the contributions presented at these satellite events. Workshops at UML 2004 took place during the ?rst three days of the conference(fromOctober10to12). Followingthetraditionofprevious UML conferences, UML 2004workshopsprovidedacollaborativeforumforgroups of (typically 15 to 30) participants to exchange recent or preliminary results, to conduct intensive discussions on a particular topic, or to coordinate e?orts between representatives of a technical community. Que nos dice el encuentro con la muerte acerca de la vida? Como se anuda el duelo en la subjetividad para que su efecto sea a la vez doloroso y transformador? Estos interrogantes insisten en el psicoanalisis de forma particular en su historia. Para Freud el Mas Alla del Principio del Placer constituyo una profunda revision de sus elaboraciones y Lacan coloca el tema del duelo en el centro mismo del seminario sobre La Etica del Psicoanalisis. El presente texto realiza una lectura de Cien Anos de Soledad desde estos interrogantes. Encontramos asi que la relacion con la muerte determina la relacion con la vida de quienes habitan en Macondo. Cruzando esta lectura con la de las tragedias de Sofocles que acaecen en Tebas vemos como los duelos que quedan suspendidos tienen efectos devastadores tanto a nivel colectivo como individual y que la dignidad de los vivos depende de otorgar un lugar de dignidad y memoria a quienes han partido. Desde la literatura se nos llama la atencion una vez mas para no dejar sumir nuestras huellas en el olvido y por ello esta obra esta destinada no solo a investigadores sino a todos aquellos que se hayan interrogado por la escritura y la memoria."
