The encounter of a science-based person with an extraterrestrial being results into the learning of unexpected things, because that extraterrestrial being is spiritually huge. In this book scientific knowledge faces the real "Universal Wisdom" in equal conditions. This book invites the reader to think on a different way from the dogmas and paradigms that modern society has imposed to us, just as for science as for spirituality, considering both knowledge the same valid and important to us, so we can all grow as persons.
While we have a feeling that our 'thought experiment' could bear fruit, we are far from the idea that equivalent expressions by the brain and the immune function point to an axis of both systems. Al-though major players, they also depend on the regulation of the rest of the body. As we focus here rather on a social context, many more factors are to be accounted for. Shanty-towns, rather than being seen in a dismissive context, may provide clues to historical conditions, a tip off perhaps to update the idea of 'individualistic' immunity. Subjected to all kinds of inward and outward interferences, obviously, a historical approach is complex. Urban overcrowding, by replacing nomadic life, allowed multiple interacting brains to develop civilization and science. The fact that survival under prolonged siege had been recorded, filthy food and water supply notwithstanding, suggests that collective immune adaptation may not be out of question either. Fortunately, experimental evidence in mice and other animal comes in support to our hypothesis of collective immunity. As yet no consensus about immune stimulation or downplaying has been reached, our aim being the possibility of reciprocal immune influence as such.
Photochemistry, a sub-discipline of chemistry, is the study of the interactions between atoms, small molecules, and light (or electromagnetic radiation). Like most scientific disciplines, photochemistry utilises the SI or metric measurement system. Important units and constants that show up regularly include the meter (and variants such as centimetre, millimetre, micrometer, manometer, etc.), seconds, hertz, joules, moles, the gas constant R, and the Boltzmann constant. These units and constants are also integral to the field of physical chemistry. There are important processes based in the photochemistry principles. One case is photosynthesis, which some plants use light to create glucose in their chloroplasts to contribute to cell metabolism. The glucose is used by the plant's mitochondria to produce Adenosine Triphosphate. Medicine bottles are made with darkened glass to prevent the medicine itself from reacting chemically with light. In fireflies, an enzyme in the abdomen works to produce bioluminescence. The mercaptans or thiols are produced by photochemical addition of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) to alfa olefins. Among their many uses as a chemical reagent these mercaptans are used to provide a distinctive odour (an odorant) to otherwise odourless natural gas. This new book is dedicated to presenting the latest research from around the world in this particular field.
