The amazing life story of former triad gang member Kim Goh. I put
the gun to my head, closed my eyes and I pulled the trigger.' For
Kim Goh, caught up in a triangle of gang culture and drugs, this
was just one of many life threatening situations. A successful
businessman by the age of eighteen, Kim Goh's violent pursuits and
ability to con people kept him from settling in countries for long.
From Thailand to Minorca, New York to Switzerland, his life became
more chaotic and restless as he indulged in gambling, drugs,
alcohol and sex. Climbing his way up the career ladder of a UK
triad, Kim soon found that his volatile nature and anger
perpetuated caused his behaviour to spiral out of control with
devastating consequences. A gripping tale of a man searching for
meaning, and of a God whose intervention is both dramatic and life
changing. -Publisher.
This volume, published in honour of Egyptologist Professor Rosalie
David OBE, presents the latest research on three of the most
important aspects of ancient Egyptian civilisation: mummies, magic
and medical practice. Drawing on recent archaeological fieldwork,
new research on human remains, reassessments of ancient texts and
modern experimental archaeology, it attempts to answer some of
Egyptology's biggest questions: how did Tutankhamun die? How were
the Pyramids built? How were mummies made? Leading experts in their
fields combine traditional Egyptology and innovative scientific
approaches to ancient material. The result is a cutting-edge
overview of the discipline, showing how it has developed over the
last forty years and yet how many of its big questions remain the
same. -- .
How did our minds evolve? Can evolutionary considerations illuminate the question of the basic architecture of the human mind? These are two of the main questions addressed in Evolution and the Human Mind by a distinguished interdisciplinary team of philosophers, psychologists, anthropologists and archaeologists. The volume will be of great interest to all researchers and students interested in the evolution and nature of the mind.

Barry Woodward grew up in Greater Manchester, England. At the age
of 16 he left school without any qualifications and was drawn into
the drug scene, experimenting with cannabis, amphetamines and LSD.
This led to a heroin addiction and life as a drugs supplier. For
twelve years he was totally dependent on drugs, during which time
he spent a number of terms in prison. Miraculously, his life turned
around completely following an amazing sequence of supernatural
encounters.
