We all have a list of things we would love to accomplish in life.
One of the goals I have wanted to achieve is publishing a book. The
idea of what to write started me thinking about my holidays,
adventures, and vacations over the past and present during the past
fifty-odd years. The idea of recapturing my life in photographs,
along with family, wife, and friends, has helped me to recall and
expand on the humorous and touching moments I have experienced.
After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. Here then is my
life condensed pictorially in A Snap Shot Autobiography. Andrew
Harries was born and bred in Bristol, United Kingdom, a city that
dates back to prehistoric times. His wife helped him put the book
together. "Thank goodness, we are still on speaking terms "

Beginning with a reassessment of the 1920s and 30s, this text looks
beyond a consideration of just the most successful Spanish
playwrights of the time, and discusses also the work of directors,
theorists, actors and designers.
"Broadway" has been the stuff of theatrical legends for
generations. In this fascinating and affectionate account of a
unique theatrical phenomenon, Andrew Harris takes a look at both
the reality and the myth behind the heart and soul of American
drama. This text explores: the aims and achievements of major
figures such as Tennessee Williams, Eugene O'Neill and David Mamet;
the processes a play goes through from preliminary draft to opening
night; the careful balancing between aesthetic ideals and
commercial considerations; the place of producers, reviewers,
agents and managers and their contribution to the process, and the
relationship between acting styles and writing styles for Broadway
plays.
Connexins: A Guide is a practical and valuable reference and
text covering a wide scope of information about the connexin family
of membrane channel proteins. The editors and contributing authors
intend for this cutting-edge work to be informative to scientists
wishing to learn about the field, as well as to those who are
active researchers in this area. Connexins: A Guide masterfully
addresses specific needs of the scientific community; it is a
comprehensive and comprehensible narrative of the uncommonly
diverse connexin field, making previously hard-to-find information
easily accessible, while also presenting intelligible insights into
the extensive experimental methods and conceptual frameworks
necessary to appreciate and understand the important roles that
connexin channel proteins play in health and disease.
Decoding Eurocode 7 provides a detailed examination of Eurocode 7
Parts 1 and 2 and an overview of the associated European and
International standards. The detail of the code is set out in
summary tables and diagrams, with extensive. Fully annotated worked
examples demonstrate how to apply it to real designs. Flow diagrams
explain how reliability is introduced into design and mind maps
gather related information into a coherent framework. Written by
authors who specialise in lecturing on the subject, Decoding
Eurocode 7 explains the key principles and application rules of
Eurocode 7 in a logical and simple manner. Invaluable for
practitioners, as well as for high-level students and researchers
working in geotechnical fields.
A personal journey that describes a mechanism to find certainty
through relaxation, enabling the reader to relax deeper, feel
better and enjoy life more. A highly personal yet universally
resonant retelling of the therapeutic process that'll help you find
greater clarity and certainty of the self. What is offered in this
book is another way to look at the precise mechanism behind the
journey to transcend the monkey mind and help you find what it is
you want. It is not the font of all knowledge that is true, but it
will go some way to reveal exactly what is stopping you.

Encapsulating over one hundred years of research developments, this
book is a comprehensive manual for measurements of Earth surface
temperatures and heat fluxes, enabling better detection and
measurement of volcanic activity. With a particular focus on
volcanic hot spots, the book explores methodologies and principles
used with satellite-, radiometer- and thermal-camera data. It
presents traditional applications using satellite and ground based
sensors as well as modern applications that have evolved for use
with hand-held thermal cameras and is fully illustrated with case
studies, databases and worked examples. Chapter topics include
techniques for thermal mixture modelling and heat flux derivation,
and methods for data collection, mapping and time-series
generation. Appendices and online supplements present additional
specific notes on areas of sensor application and data processing,
supported by an extensive reference list. This book is an
invaluable resource for academic researchers and graduate students
in thermal remote sensing, volcanology, geophysics and planetary
studies.
