Some urgent new thinking is needed if any lessons are to be learnt from the recent disasters. This book brings together the experience of a number of writers who have worked on, or studied, poverty alleviation programmes in Asia and Africa.

We live in an age of global capitalism and terror. About the Contributor(s): Nicola Hoggard Creegan lectures in systematic theology at Laidlaw College. She is author of Animal Suffering and the Problem of Evil (OUP, 2013). Andrew Shepherd works as a free-lance researcher and teacher in theology and ethics. He is the author of The Gift of the Other (Pickwick, forthcoming). He is the Education Co-ordinator for A Rocha Aotearoa New Zealand--a Christian conservation movement.
