Polish Solidarity was a phenomenon combining a trade union, a social movement and general ideas of freedom and solidarity. Die Lehre Platons ist mit der schriftlich festgehaltenen Ideentheorie nicht voellig gleichzusetzen. Im Buch wendet sich der Autor nach der historisch-genetischen Methode den Testimonia Platonica der innerakademischen Prinzipienlehre zu. Er versucht, die fundamentale Frage zu beantworten, wozu Platon Prinzipien eingefuhrt hat, die uber die transzendenten, selbstandigen Ideen hinausgehen. Im zentralen Kapitel geht es darum, das Wesen der ersten Philosophie Platons zu erfassen, das sich auf das Problem der Moeglichkeit einer Letztbegrundung der Ganzheit von Sein und Wissen konzentriert. Das Hauptziel des Buches ist es, zu einer Erklarung des Generierungsmechanismus zu gelangen, die der Autor als die metaphysische Anfangsfrage des antiken Platonismus versteht.
