People think of a legacy as being material gains that a family may leave to their offspring when one dies. I believe this is only a portion of the sum totals of one's inheritance. It is good to be able to bestow material gains to one's offspring, and there is nothing wrong with that. But I also believe giving them a sense of who they are, and passing down certain events that the family has experienced and learned, will equally be an important legacy. Families, telling stories about families, keep them together. When the stories are negative, prayerfully the family will learn from them. This book has been too long in coming. I prolonged and procrastinated forever; but now the time has finally arrived for me to share this splendid book with the world. These are real-life situations and never before have you heard love, reality, motivation, inspiration, A-A, special occasions, life and death expressed in this way. The reader will automatically find their situations on numerous pages, and hopefully this book will inspire them to rise to the occasion. Hopefully the reader will be able to rebuild broken relationships, and give thanks to God. He is the one that made it possible for you to read this book right now (March 19, 2011).

Before then though, all I could think to myself while sitting idle on the porch was "Be no punk for no one - not the bees, nor the dogs that ran around in packs." Neither would the bullies deter me from the way I had set out to live.
