Originally, Christ Jesus was the image of God's person (Heb.l:3), but was now anointed to carry out two missions. 1) To become the prototype for man, and 2) to bring man into conformity to his own person, thus making man the image of God (Rom.8:28-30).The process of redemption effects in man the transformation that renders him a new creature (2Cor.5:14-21; GaI.2:19-20). Redemption is possible only through faith in the shed blood of Christ. Having gone through this process one becomes a Christian and his lifestyle is Christianity. It is therefore not a religion but it supersedes religion.
This book offers a problem-and-solution approach to environmental remediation in mining, including the environmentally sustainable utilization of waste materials from the mining industry. It largely comprises articles published in Springer journals, which have been thoroughly revised and expanded. With supplementary data and illustrations, it discusses specific problem areas in relevant Caribbean locations and provides an overview of geotechnical and microbial solutions to prevent post-mining deterioration in this area.
Like other introductions to number theory, this one includes the usual curtsy to divisibility theory, the bow to congruence, and the little chat with quadratic reciprocity. It also includes proofs of results such as Lagrange's Four Square Theorem, the theorem behind Lucas's test for perfect numbers, the theorem that a regular n-gon is constructible just in case phi(n) is a power of 2, the fact that the circle cannot be squared, Dirichlet's theorem on primes in arithmetic progressions, the Prime Number Theorem, and Rademacher's partition theorem. We have made the proofs of these theorems as elementary as possible. This is a concise introductory textbook for a one semester course in the history and philosophy of mathematics. It is written for mathematics majors, philosophy students, history of science students and secondary school mathematics teachers. The only prerequisite is a solid command of pre-calculus mathematics. It is shorter than the standard textbooks in that area and thus more accessible to students who have trouble coping with vast amounts of reading. Furthermore, there are many detailed explanations of the important mathematical procedures actually used by famous mathematicians, giving more mathematically talented students a greater opportunity to learn the history and philosophy by way of problem solving. Several important philosophical topics are pursued throughout the text, giving the student an opportunity to come to a full and consistent knowledge of their development. These topics include infinity, the nature of motion, and Platonism. This book offers, in fewer pages, a deep penetration into the key mathematical and philosophical aspects of the history of mathematics.

A Can of Nuts is just that...short stories, poem, essays and fish stories. Some are very funny, some will make you stop and think and some will make you feel good. There is a tribute to his adopted father, Jim L. Anglin, who was a song writer and a very early influence in the writer's life both as a person and a lover of music. The essays have subjects far ranging from the treatment of African Americans in the 1950's to what's good to eat for the holidays. The short stories just as varied in nature. One is about a murder while one is about a holiday gathering of a family whose members come from far away to be with their parents and siblings. Some of the poems are heart felt while others are of a whimsical nature. One outstanding entry is "Homeless." For the lighter side there is a selection of fishing stories that come from Arkansas to Georgia to Florida and Tennessee. Most are actually true but some are, let's say, enhanced. Altogether, it is a good read. Enjoy
