Cyanobacteria are a fascinating and versatile group of bacteria of immense biological importance. En este libro se muestran un amplio numero de cicloadiciones que pueden ser englobadas en diferentes campos de la quimica pero con un denominador comun, el empleo ventajoso y conveniente de la radiacion microondas combinada con la ausencia de disolvente como metodo alternativo a la calefaccion clasica. A lo largo de todo el trabajo aqui presentado, se va a ir revelando el amplio numero de ventajas que presenta esta tecnica. En el primer capitulo, nuestro trabajo se centro en buscar nuevos y rapidos metodos para la sintesis de farmacos, campo en el que destacan las microondas. En el segundo capitulo, abordamos la sintesis de nuevos sistemas heterociclicos de dificil acceso. En el tercer capitulo podemos ver como no solo la radiacion microondas debe ser presentada como una metodologia ventajosa por lo expuesto anteriormente sino que en muchos casos puede incluso modificar la selectividad de la reaccion.
