Successful San Francisco tycoon and control freak Nicholas Van Orton (Michael Douglas) approaches his forty-eighth birthday with some trepidation. For it was at this age that his father fell from his mansion roof and died. Nicholas receives an introduction to Consumer Recreation Services from his younger brother, Conrad (Sean Penn), and is informed that he is now playing 'The Game'. Nicholas soon finds himself losing control and threatened with the loss of not just his company and fortune but also his life.
War drama starring Mira Sorvino and Gabriel Byrne. At the height of World War II, English journalist Kate Davis (Sorvino) becomes trapped within the besieged city of Leningrad. Separated from her lover, writer Philip Parker (Byrne), and presumed dead, Kate is rescued by Nina Tsvetkova (Olga Sutulova), a female member of the Leningrad militia. Joining forces with a makeshift band of survivors in the famished city, the two women battle to stay alive throughout the devastating 800-day siege.
Agents Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) make their big-screen debut as they attempt to locate the source of a deadly virus, possibly brought to earth by aliens thirty-seven thousand years ago. As usual, their investigation reveals a potential FBI-cover up, brings them into contact with conspiracy theorists (this time a paranoid doctor (Martin Landau)) and leads them to the door of the all-powerful, yet anonymous, Syndicate. Contains interviews with the stars and previously unseen footage.
Historical adventure set during the Crusades in the Middle Ages. In the eleventh century, three young friends from the town of Aurocastro set out for the Holy Land to battle the Saracen infidels. Along the way they encounter violence, romance and betrayal as they find themselves caught up in the adventure of a lifetime.
Double bill of adventure features set during the Crusades. 'Crusaders - The Fall of Jerusalem' (2001) follows three friends - bell founder Peter (Alessandro Gassman), baron's son Richard (Johannes Brandrup) and peasant farmer Andrew (Thure Riefenstein) - as they set out to join the Crusades and to play their part in the liberation of Jerusalem. 'Crusaders 2' (2001) concludes the story of the three young friends from the Italian town of Aurocastro. Will their ideals be tempered by the reality of the violence that surrounds them on all sides as they battle against the eleventh century Saracen soldiers who have occupied the Holy City?
