This volume presents selected papers presented during the First Asian Conference on Indoor Environmental Quality (ACIEQ). The contents cover themes of indoor air quality monitoring and modeling; the influence of confounding factors like thermal comfort parameters, such as temperature and relative humidity with respect to different building types, e.g., residential, commercial, institutional; ventilation characteristics, lighting and acoustics. It also focuses on people's performance, productivity, and behavior with respect to their exposure to various indoor air pollutants and parameters influencing the overall indoor environmental quality. This volume is primarily aimed at researchers working in environmental science and engineering, building architecture and design, HVAC and ventilation, public health, and epidemiology. The contents of this volume will also be useful to policy makers working on occupational health and building codes.
This book provides a collection of reviews of some of the recent developments in nuclear physics research at intermediate energies carried out throughout the world. It especially discusses the most essential aspects such as multifragmentation and associated phenomena in nuclear collisions with the incident energy region between a few MeV and several hundreds of MeV/nucleon. The topic of the book—multifragmentation—was chosen based on the fact that the entire heavy-ion collisions revolve around a fragmenting system, which is also thought to have a link to phase transitions. One of the unique and valuable dimensions of the book is that it has brought together many experts working in the field of intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions in various renowned laboratories across the world. It provides a thorough review of the recent developments in various phenomena, especially multifragmentation, observed at intermediate energy range both theoretically and experimentally. It extensively discusses the concept of nuclear symmetry, which is important for the nuclear physics and astrophysics communities. In addition, the book identifies potential research directions and technologies that will drive future innovations. The book will serve as a valuable reference for a larger audience.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Conference on Advances in Computing and Data Sciences, ICACDS 2016, held in Ghaziabad, India, in November 2016. The 64 full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 502 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on Advanced Computing; Communications; Informatics; Internet of Things; Data Sciences.
This volume contains all the papers presented at the Eleventh International C- ference on Algorithmic Learning Theory (ALT 2000) held at Coogee Holiday Inn, Sydney, Australia,11-13 December 2000. The conference was sponsored by the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales, and supported by the IFIP Working Group 1.4 on Computational Learning T- ory and the Computer Science Association (CSA) of Australia. In response to the call for papers 39 submissions were received on all aspects of algorithmic learning theory. Out of these 22 papers were accepted for p- sentation by the program committee. In addition, there were three invited talks by William Cohen (Whizbang Labs), Tom Dietterich (Oregon State Univeristy), and Osamu Watanabe (Tokyo Institute of Technology). This year's conference is the last in the millenium and eleventh overall in the ALT series. The ?rst ALT workshop was held in Tokyo in 1990. It was merged with the workshop on Analogical and Inductive Inference in 1994. The conf- ence focuses on all areas related to algorithmic learning theory, including (but not limited to) the design and analysis of learning algorithms, the theory of machine learning, computational logic of/for machine discovery, inductive inf- ence, learning via queries, new learning models, scienti?c discovery, learning by analogy, arti?cial and biological neural networks, pattern recognition, statistical learning, Bayesian/MDL estimation, inductive logic programming, data m- ing and knowledge discovery, and application of learning to biological sequence analysis. In the current conference there were papers from a variety of the above areas, refelecting both the theoretical as well as practical aspec
The papers in this volume were selected for presentation at the 6th Annual International Computing and Combinatorics Conference (COCOON2000), in Sydney, Australia from July 26 - 28, 2000. The topics cover many areas in t- oretical computer science and combinatorial optimization. There were 81 high quality papers submitted to COCOON2000. Each paper was reviewed by at least three program committee members, and the 44 papers were selected. It is expected that most of them will appear in a more complete form in scientic journals. In addition to the selected papers, the volume also contains the papers from two invited keynote speeches by Christos Papad- itriou and Richard Brent. This year the Hao Wang Award was given to honor the paper judged by the programcommittee to have the greatest merit. The recipient is \Approximating Uniform TriangularMeshes in Polygons"byFranz Aurenhammer, NaokiKatoh, Hiromichi Kojima, Makoto Ohsaki, and Yinfeng Xu. The rst Best Young - searcher paper award was given to William Duckworth for his paper \Maximum Induced Matchings of Random Cubic Graphs." We wish to thank all who have made this meeting possible: the authors for submitting papers, the program committee members and the external referees, sponsors, the local organizers, ACM SIGACT for handling electronic subm- sions, Springer-Verlagfor their support, and Debbie Hatherellfor her assistance.
This volume constitutes selected papers presented at the Third International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Speech Technology, AIST 2021, held in Delhi, India, in November 2021. The 36 full papers and 18 short papers presented were thoroughly reviewed and selected from the 178 submissions. They provide a discussion on application of Artificial Intelligence tools in speech analysis, representation and models, spoken language recognition and understanding, affective speech recognition, interpretation and synthesis, speech interface design and human factors engineering, speech emotion recognition technologies, audio-visual speech processing and several others.
Nanotechnology Applications for Food Safety and Quality Monitoring brings together nanotechnology science-based research for food safety and quality monitoring. With the advancement in knowledge about behavior of nano-engineered materials in food and its toxicity, the application of nanotechnology is expected to reach unprecedented levels in achieving food safety. Currently, there is no practical resource of nanotechnology as a tool specifically for monitoring safety and quality. This is a practical, concise, applications-based reference that is essential for food industry researchers and scientists to monitor the safety and quality of food to ensure quality food supplies.
