Forced to come out of the closet to prove his innocence in a brutal
murder, Detective Derek Cooper is warned by the police chief not to
get involved in the case. Consumed with guilt, Derek knows he must
unravel the secrets of his own drunken actions on the night of the
murder in order to help find the killer. When he is asked to work
with the detectives on the case he must face his own personal
demons that he has ignored for years. As they struggle to solve the
bizarre murder, Derek realizes the pieces of the puzzle aren't
going to fit and a more sinister element could be involved. He then
realizes something even more frightening: he could be falling in
love...
As school accountability increases, ways to engage our students
have become a problem. Student interests have changed-many opting
for online socialization and videos, along with many other
applications-and ways of communication have been ramped up-most
kids have a smartphone and live on them-so educators are searching
for solutions to teaching the increasingly rigorous standards while
they attempt to keep students interested in learning. Now, Beth
Lynne, EdD., an educator for over twenty-five years, presents an
alternative way to deliver instruction to students that
accommodates their learning styles, incorporates the standards,
creates independent, self-monitoring learners who are engaged in
the process, and integrates technology.
In the third book of the critically acclaimed Marching With Caesar
series, Titus Pullus and his 10th Legion are still in the thick of
the maelstrom that follows after the assassination of Gaius Julius
Caesar. As part of the army jointly commanded by the young Gaius
Octavian and Marcus Antonius, Titus and his comrades avenge the
death of their general Caesar at Philippi, with the defeat of the
last of The Liberators, Brutus and Cassius. When the two triumphant
generals divide their victorious army between them, the 10th Legion
is fated to serve under the command of the older Triumvir, Marcus
Antonius, who leads them on a campaign into the wilds of Parthia.
Throughout all of the trials and amid the danger that is inherent
in this endeavor, Titus must also steer a course through the
increasingly turbulent and dangerous waters as the last two
remaining rivals for the ultimate prize of being the First Man in
Rome move ever closer to a final confrontation, one in which every
Roman in the Legions must choose a side. At stake is not just his
own reputation and life, but the fate of his beloved 10th Legion
Marching With Caesar-Antony and Cleopatra Part I-Antony is the
first of the two-volume Marching With Caesar-Antony and Cleopatra.
