The last instalment of the teen vampire saga based on the
bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer. After Bella (Kristen Stewart)
is turned into a vampire by her lover, Edward (Robert Pattinson),
she appears to be enjoying her new immortal life and the abilities
bestowed upon her. But after Irina (Maggie Grace) mistakes Bella
and Edward's child, Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), for an 'immortal
child' and tells the Volturi this, they vow to destroy the
potentially threatening girl and the whole Cullen family for
allowing her to be transformed. In order to protect themselves and
Renesmee, the Cullen clan must enlist the help of other vampire
clans from around the world, in the hope of convincing the Volturi
of the false claims of Irina.
A heartfelt story told with warmth, perception and humour, in award
winning Bill Condon's deceptively effortless prose. Ten-year-old
Stephen has never met his great aunt Lola, and he doesn't want to.
She sends him money twice a year and he always writes back, but he
doesn't send her any love, because he can't lie. 'How can you love
someone you've never met?' he asks. He decides you can't, not even
for ten dollars twice a year. When he arrives with his parents at
Lola's house, Stephen discovers she's grumpy, scary and really,
really old. What will they have to talk about? He wants to turn
around and go home, but his mum says they have to stay until Lola's
birthday - three weeks away. Left to his own devices, Stephen
learns about the simple things in life - like fishing, and cricket,
and climbing trees - and the importance of family. Soon Aunty Lola
entrusts Stephen with a great secret, and he realises just how much
she has come to mean to him.
Follow-on from the 1986 film 'FX - Murder by Illusion' in which
Tyler (Bryan Brown) is now semi-retired. However, he is talked out
of the quiet life after five years and into taking part in a
police-sting operation by his girlfriend's ex-husband. When the
latter is murdered, Tyler investigates, with the help of his old
police partner (Brian Dennehy) and soon they are trapped in a
dangerous web of murder, treachery and deceit.
In the first FX movie, special effects expert Rollie Taylor (Bryan
Brown) is hired to fake a gangster's murder, but it soon becomes
clear that someone wants Rollie dead. He has to use all his special
effects skills to stay alive. The sequel has the special effects
man called out of retirement to take part in a police
investigation.
