Reality Street published Bill Griffiths' Collected Earlier Poems (1966-80) in 2010. This successor volume collects work from the following decade, bringing back into print poetry that appeared in hard-to-obtain small editions or was previously uncollected or unpublished. Bill Griffiths was a poet, Anglo-Saxon scholar, book designer, small press publisher, biker, pianist, archivist and social historian. He died in 2007 at the age of 59.

Tapper Morre was a lucky, fairly happy person enjoying New Orleans in the late 60's. There was a lot going on, and he was having a pretty good time. However, the Vietnam War was escalating and the threat of being drafted was real. A lot of Tapper's friends had been given an all expense paid trip to Southeast Asia courtesy of the U.S. Army, Navy, or U.S. Marine Corps after they let their grades slip, or got put on suspension for one reason or another. Upon graduation from College, Tapper decided to go to Graduate School rather than be drafted. He just hadn't decided to declare war on Vietnam yet. Until they invaded South Louisiana he was going to be content to further his education. His College Advisor recommended Law School, and signed him up for the LSAT against his wishes. He had no interest in Law. It wasn't what he had planned for his future but, as luck would have it, he scored in the upper ten per cent, and along with his grades, which were pretty good, found himself in Law School at Tulane University- New Orleans, Louisiana. This was not the worse place to be at that time. There were plenty of pretty girls around, the Race Track was near to bet on horses, a card game was in the back room of a thousand bar rooms, and the food was good in and around New Orleans. This is the adventure of Tapper Morre.

Poetry. This volume brings together for the first time a complete collection of the poetry of Bill Griffiths (1948-2007) up until 1980. The text, edited by Alan Halsey in consultation with Ken Edwards of Reality Street, includes the full "Cycles" and "War w/ Windsor" sequences that so astonished readers when they first appeared, as well as much other poetry that was published by his own Pirate Press imprint, Writers Forum and other small presses during the 1970s; and also poems and performance texts that have only made fleeting appearances in ephemeral pamphlets and magazines, or have never been published before.

This essay on Anglo-Saxon runes first appeared in the journal Archaeologia for 1840; it drew on the work of Wilhelm Grimm, but broke new ground for Anglo-Saxon studies in its survey of the Ruthwell Cross and the Cynewulf poems. This edition includes new notes and translations of the Latin and Old English material quoted in the text.

Spud Tatum, a native of South Louisiana, was given a second chance He was physically re-engineered and endowed with World Class Speed. With this talent he traveled to Savannah, Georgia and tried out as a "walk on" Defensive Back- (Strong Side Safety) with the "Savannah Colonels" at the insistence of Dan Wells, Head Scout for the Colonels. Dan was his girlfriend's Uncle, and a chance acquaintance. Roman Frontier Archaeology – in Britain and beyond gathers contributions by some 30 leading archaeologists and historians in honour of Paul Bidwell. In a wide-ranging career Paul has been one of the leading excavators and pottery specialists of his generation, admired for his ground-breaking work both in the south-west and the military north of Roman Britain. Contributions reflect the wide range of Paul Bidwell’s interests. Studies of samian pottery use, coins, carved stone pinecones, multi-piece bone dice and agricultural strategies shed light on the economy and everyday life of a Roman frontier province. For the civil southern part of the province there are studies of place-names and various aspects of the public baths of the Roman cities, as well as the impact of changing sea-levels on coastal topography. A number of contributions focus on the problems of the military north and Hadrian’s Wall, including studies of the nineteenth century antiquarian pioneers and assessments of the purpose of the Wall, the possibility of destructive attacks by an enemy, the way in which Roman forts were designed, and the use of Iron Age tradition military gear by the Roman army. The papers also take us beyond Britannia to consider developments on and beyond Rome’s Eastern, Danube and North African frontiers. The collection will be essential reading for anyone with an interest in either the civil or military aspects of Roman Britain, or the frontiers of the Roman empire. Paul Bidwell (1949-2022) Tragically Paul Bidwell died after a short illness in November 2022 soon after being presented with this book by his friends and colleagues. What was conceived as a gesture to honour Paul has become, in effect, a monument to one of the most respected Roman archaeologists of his generation, and a testament to the wide range of his archaeological interests and achievements.

This exciting volume combines the diverse talents of an impressive range of writer-critics in an engaged and lively response to the poetry of Geraldine Monk. Monk's reputation as one of the most exciting and provocative writer-performers on the British scene has been established for some time and this new collection aims to reflect critically on a prolific career which has spawned fourteen major works in the last twenty five years. The contributions within pursue several lines of enquiry beginning with considerations of the early pamphlets published in the late seventies and early eighties, the substantial works of the mid-late 80s and 90s and the major collections of the beginning of the twenty first century. Unsurprisingly what many consider as one of Monk's finest books, 1994's Interrregnum (now available in the new Salt Selected Poems) - a stunningly complex evocation of the fate of the Pendle Witches - is examined from a variety of angles concerning its poetics of difficulty, its relationship to ideas of place, nature and eco-criticism, and its politics. Other contributors look at the presence of the 'eerie' in Monk's work; the role and function of children's games throughout her oeuvre and the ways Monk engages with the visual and the sonic aspects of language. This will be the first collection of critical responses to Monk's poetry and will be a must for any reader interested in engaging with this dynamic and strenuous writer.
