The philosophy at the heart of Bob de Wit's landmark text Strategy is that an understanding of the topic can only be gained by exposure to the many opposite perspectives in the field. Recognizing that there is no simple answer to the question of 'what is strategy', the author navigates readers through contrasting viewpoint readings to encourage discussion and debate, and illustrative cases to acknowledge the importance of strategy in the world of business. Placing the student at the centre of the strategy debates encourages the qualities of creativity, flexibility, independence and analytical depth that are needed to become a strategic thinker.
Expectations are too high for beginners in hockey. Beginners are simply not ready for team play and systems. What is missing is a transition phase from the first time a player puts on a pair of skates to that first hockey game. The Hockey Method is a methodology to fill in this missing link or gap in hockey development. It identifies skill levels that can be grading to track player proficiency. The Hockey Method consists of two parts; Book 1 - Beginner Skating and Book 2 - Beginner Puck Control. These two parts present 31 skill concepts that are so simple and easy to learn that you don't need to be a coach to teach them. What is really needed, for first timers, is one-on-one direction and instruction. Coaches or parents can do it but parents are a better choice to instruct beginners because they have the time and vested interest to dedicate the 1 on 1 instruction needed by beginners at this early age. The basic idea is to build confidence by learning to walk before you run, run before you glide, and to be able to turn the toes in and out before you are able to use edges.
National intelligence cultures are shaped by their country's history and environment. Featuring 32 countries (such as Albania, Belgium, Croatia, Norway, Latvia, Montenegro), the work provides insight into a number of rarely discussed national intelligence agencies to allow for comparative study, offering hard to find information into one volume. In their chapters, the contributors, who are all experts from the countries discussed, address the intelligence community rather than focus on a single agency. They examine the environment in which an organization operates, its actors, and cultural and ideological climate, to cover both the external and internal factors that influence a nation's intelligence community. The result is an exhaustive, unique survey of European intelligence communities rarely discussed.

In the summer of 2013 the Central Intelligence Agency and the Clinton Presidential Library made an unprecedented declassification of more than 300 documents showing the role of intelligence in supporting American decision-making on Bosnia in the 1990s, and in particular the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement, which brought an end to the fighting in Bosnia. The following spring, James Madison University hosted a conference in which scholars from all over the world assessed what the documents show about what is needed for the complex process of making peace. Aspects covered included military, political, diplomatic, and religious, among others. Timothy R. Walton's The Role of Intelligence in Ending the War in Bosnia in 1995 offers a collection of papers presented at the conference; several of the authors were participants in the events of the time.
Among the cultural figures of the Old West, Frederick Remington stands head and shoulders above the rest-literally. A good-natured ogre by size and appetite, the artist portrays the West with such skill that the American government entrusts his safety to Lucky Luke. Looking after such a national treasure is not usually an easy task, but Luke will soon discover that Remington hardly needs protecting-except maybe from his own excessive impulses...
Brothers Adolph and Arthur Caille are mechanical geniuses. They've just created one of the first slot machines and have presented it to their local senator, a notorious gambler. Much taken with the device, he agrees to send them on a tour of American cities to test the machine's popularity. And, to escort them on this dangerous journey, he calls on his old friend Lucky Luke - So begins the wacky tale of how the one-armed bandit conquered the West!

In part one of our saga, our heroine battled a small colony of Alien Greys to rescue her son and other abducted local girls, but her fiance never made it out of the alien cave in War Eagle. Once she discovers a clue that indicates he is still alive, Nataliee pulls out all the stops to find him. Her efforts require her to infiltrate Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's infamous 'Hangar 18' and culminates with a journey to a giant, alien colony near Dulce, New Mexico, which was built together by the 18,000 Alien Greys and the US military. Located deep beneath the Archuleta Mesa, sinister biological experiments are being performed on animals AND humans. This book contains some very intense action sequences, and exposes the macabre truth about covert alien and US Intelligence interactions. It's a terrific read for anyone who believes in UFOs and has noticed that our government goes to great lengths to cover-up the truth about alien life on Earth. It's co-written by Markus Fredericks & Bob De Long, who are UFO Activists seeking to expose the truth.

On prom night, Nataliee and her fiance find a private spot overlooking a river for a romantic interlude. However, their car is suddenly engulfed by a strange, bluish light. They see a flying saucer hovering directly above. Four alien Greys approach them - Nataliee is the victim of an 'alien abduction'. She is transported to a nearby alien colony located deep inside a hidden, mountain cave. There she finds four other young women who are being held captive. The alien Greys harvest a monthly human egg from each of the fertile girls. It's a torturous ordeal, physically and mentally, for the abducted girls. Thje aliens use the human eggs for biological experimentation. The aliens are particularly interested in Nataliee's egg, since it is the first fertilized egg they have retrieved. After three months of captivitiy, the girls devise a plan to enable Nataliee to escape, with the agreement that she would get a rescue party posse and return to liberate them, along with her newborn baby boy (who was gestated as a 'test tube baby'). Our story tells of the dangerous threat that alien Greys already living on Earth pose to mankind. It also exemplifies our government's relentless effort to suppress the truth about UFOs and extraterrestrials. The reader will enjoy 'laughing out loud' and 'cringing in horror' - often within the same chapter. By the spectacular conclusion, the reader will have been thoroughly entertained, while learning many valuable facts about the alien Greys. This is the first in an upcoming series of 'Nataliee's Alien Nightmare' books. It's a 'Must Read' for every person who believes in UFOs and extraterrestrials.
It is the world's oldest and most famous ultramarathon. South Africa's Comrades Marathon has teased, tormented and tortured runners from all over the world since 1921. Those who have endured it say it changes lives, speaks to the soul and turns the ordinary into extraordinary. According to many, it is liberating. Bob de la Motte should know. Winner of five Comrades medals, including three golds, his grit and determination during several epic duels with nine-time winner Bruce Fordyce enthralled the world throughout what was arguably the marathon's defining passage in the politically charged 1980s. In this extraordinary, compassionate, candid, humorous and captivating personal memoir, Bob explains his fascination and passion for the most famous ultramarathon in the world and recounts the truth behind the hyped-up rivalry. He explores allegations of cheating and blood doping, highlights the hypocrisy in South African and international sport and elaborates on his decision to join the Chicken Run to Australia. He also provides fascinating perspectives on international politics and business on four continents and gives a crystal ball insight into the future of the Comrades Marathon. For runners, sportspeople, sports lovers and those who simply enjoy a damned good read, Runaway Comrade will inevitably be your best buy of the year!
