Air Pirates (Paperback): Brian J. Chase Air Pirates (Paperback)
Brian J. Chase
R905 Discovery Miles 9 050 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Are you into adrenaline? If you are, you can find your fix in this book as you follow the adventures of its lead character 'Chance', a very skilled 'narco-trafficante' while he takes care of business on two continents. Following him into the jungles of Colombia and find out what happened to 2,000,000 kg of cocaine that were confiscated by the Colombian Army. The cocaine was taken from a pole barn of one of Pablo Escobar's lieutenants named Portofan while the whole incident was broadcast live on the local TV channels during the evening news in Medellin. The DEA stationed in Medellin had to be aware of this broadcast and each and everyone of the individually wrapped 2,000,000 kilos of cocaine. The bricks of cocaine were stacked to the 14' ceiling of a 200' long pole barn that sat at the end of a dirt runway surrounded by coffee trees in the mountains of central Colombia. That's 2,000,000 kilos of cocaine were talking about, or 2000 metric tons, which would be without question the largest drug seizure in the history of the world. A pile of cocaine that was worth over$20,000,000,000(US) bare-bones minimum on the streets of Miami, and three times that amount in New York City. And I also have to ask you, is Pablo Escobar really dead? Books say he is, and so do many cable-television channel documentaries. The United States government also claimed that they killed him in 1993 in the city of Medellin. If all this was true, then why did the US government asked me, Brian (Chance) Chase, the author, in 1997 if Pablo Escobar was still alive after they had made all of these spectacular claims about his illegal yet government sanctioned assassination in 1993. The answers to these questions and much much more are in this book. A book that can also be described as a love story of soulmates... trying to survive in the very dangerous and violent world of the Colombian-based cocaine trade. After I retired from the cocaine business, I served a 15 year prison sentence on cocaine distribution, money laundering, theft and exportation of stolen aircraft, and murder charges. I paid for my crimes not only by going to prison but also by paying a toll on other very personal and emotional levels that broke my heart forever, but that I won't go into just now. It was the idea of two FBI agents that were involved in my case that I should write this book. They told me that 'we' had made history, and that I, a gringo, had penetrated the Cartel faster and deeper than any gringo they had on record at the time. It took me two or three months of lying in my bunk, thinking and looking at my jail cell ceiling before I finally decided to write because I came to the conclusion that I had a good story to tell. So this is it, 'Air Pirates' my first installment in the series of 6 (or more) books called 'The Outlaw Chronicles'. One could call it in 'adventure crime love story saga', or you could call it something else. But this book is full of true intrigues, it often becomes bloody and people get kidnapped, seriously abused and sometime they are even killed. But I also have to say this, despite the fact that I can almost guarantee that this book will reach into the depths of your psyche and grab hold of your heart and squeeze until you cry.... I also never had a bigger 'blast' living out these adventures, in all my life.
