Double bill of children's features. 'Marmaduke' (2010) is a part
live action, part CGI-animated family comedy based on the
long-running comic strip. When the Winslow family moves from Kansas
to Orange County, California with their goofy, accident-prone Great
Dane, Marmaduke (voiced by Owen Wilson), the big dog experiences
all kinds of trouble fitting in with his new canine neighbours. The
film also features the voice talents of Emma Stone, William H.
Macy, Sam Elliott, Steve Coogan and Kiefer Sutherland. 'Firehouse
Dog' (2007) follows Rex, Hollywood's top-grossing canine known for
his extreme athletic abilities and diva-like demeanour. His perks
package, rivalling that of any A-list celebrity, includes Kobe
beef, a poodle harem and a diamond collar. Unfortunately an
accident that occurs while Rex is shooting a commercial leads his
handlers to presume he's dead. But Rex is merely lost. Alone,
filthy and unrecognisable in an unfamiliar city, how will Rex deal
with a scenario much more common to dogs than his previous pampered
existence?

Double bill of action/adventure. In 'National Treasure' (2004),
Nicolas Cage stars as Benjamin Franklin Gates, an archaeologist
from the seventh generation of a family of treasure-seekers who
have all shared the same quest: to discover the whereabouts of an
old war chest full of gold hidden by the founding fathers in the
last days of the Revolutionary War. Ben must work against the clock
to unravel the clues embedded in the original drafts of two key
historical documents - the Constitution and the Declaration of
Independence - before his criminal ex-partner Ian Howe (Sean Bean),
or the FBI - led by Agent Sadusky (Harvey Keitel) - get their mitts
on the loot. Helping him in his quest is beautiful archivist
Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger). In 'National Treasure 2 - Book of
Secrets' (2008), Nicolas Cage reprises his role as artefact hunter
and archaeologist, Ben Franklin Gates. When a missing page from the
diary of Abraham Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth, surfaces,
one of Ben's ancestors is implicated as a conspirator in the
murder. In an attempt to clear their family's name, Ben and his
father, Mitch (Jon Voight), travel the globe in search of the other
missing pages from Booth's diary. The journey leads Ben and his
crew not only to surprising revelations, but to the trail of the
world's most treasured secrets.
Double-bill of big-budget spin-offs of the classic 1960s sci-fi
adventure series created by Gene Roddenberry. In 'Star Trek'
(2009), the film chronicles the early years in the life of James T.
Kirk (Chris Pine) and his fellow USS Enterprise crew members,
including Kirk's enrolment at Starfleet Academy, his first meeting
with Spock (Zachary Quinto) and their battles with time-travelling
Romulans from the future. Eric Bana, Winona Ryder and Simon Pegg
co-star, along with Leonard Nimoy, who reprises his role as the
older Spock. In 'Star Trek Into Darkness' (2013), Captain Kirk and
the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are called back to Earth after a
devastating force from within their organisation leaves the planet
in chaos and Starfleet in pieces. Determined to settle the score,
Kirk embarks on a manhunt with the rest of his crew including
Spock, Scotty (Pegg) and Chekov (Anton Yelchin) to find the party
responsible before their whole world is laid to waste.
Collection of animations following the caped crusader. In 'Mystery
of the Batwoman' (2003) Batman (voice of Kevin Conroy) is on the
attack, targeting his arch enemy, the Penguin (David Ogden Stiers),
and his criminal cohort, Rupert Thorn (John Vernon), who are
plotting a scheme to sell illegal weapons. New vigilante in town
Batwoman (Kyra Sedgwick) has more daring methods for saving the
day, which may only create more problems for Batman. In 'Mask of
the Phantasm' (1993) an unknown assailant is ridding Gotham City of
its gangsters but Batman finds himself blamed for their homicidal
ways. Meanwhile, his nemesis, the Joker (Mark Hamill), is keen to
bring the mysterious figure down and Batman's former flame, Andrea
Beaumont (Dana Delany), arrives in town. In 'Under the Red Hood'
(2010) a masked figure, known only as Red Hood (Jensen Ackles), has
taken it upon himself to clean up Gotham City but his methods are
brutal. Batman (Bruce Greenwood) soon realises he may know Red
Hood's real identity and when the Joker (John Di Maggio) gets
involved the situation becomes even more complicated. 'Gotham
Knight' (2008), set between 'Batman Begins' (2005) and 'The Dark
Knight' (2008), comprises six chronological stories charting Batman
(Conroy)'s progression from gifted amateur to fully-fledged
crime-avenger. 'Have I Got a Story for You' tells how a group of
kids are variously affected by their encounters with Batman. In
'Crossfire', Gotham City's police force are forced to conquer their
distrust of the Dark Knight when they come under fire from the mob.
'Field Test' focuses on the vast array of weaponry and gadgets at
Batman's disposal as he fights injustice, while 'In Darkness
Dwells' has the caped-crusader locking horns with the
sewer-dwelling 'Killer Croc' and 'The Scarecrow' (Corey Burton).
'Working Through Pain' explores Bruce Wayne's gruelling training
regime, instigated by a mysterious Indian woman named Cassandra
(Parminder Nagra), while the final segment, 'Deadshot', draws the
chapters to a conclusion, with Batman having to stop a ruthlessly
efficient assassin with few moral qualms. In 'Year One' (2011)
Batman (Benjamin McKenzie) returns to Gotham City after spending
years away training on foreign territory. Meanwhile, honest
policeman Jim Gordon (Bryan Cranston) has arrived in town after
being transferred from Chicago. He is sent to track Batman down but
with their shared interest in ridding Gotham of its corrupt cops
and criminals, the two form an unlikely alliance.
