As Chigurh raises the bodycount, gaining ever nearer to Moss, he in turn is hunted by local Sheriff Ed Bell (Tommy Lee Jones), a seen-it-all-before cop, who could do without the excitement.

When Chaney's trail heads into Indian territory, Mattie, stubborn to the last, insists on joining the pair in their search, which soon finds them in a raft of dangerous adventures that will test them to the core.
