Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Krieg und Frieden, Militar, Note: 1,5, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen (Institut fur Soziologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit von Christian Jung steht die politische und historische Debatte uber die nationalsozialistische Vergangenheit Deutschlands und ihre Folgen zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts. Der Titel der Arbeit zielt dabei auf eine Seite innerhalb dieser Debatte: mit der Diskussion uber die im Nationalsozialismus begangenen Verbrechen und der Erinnerung an die historische Schuld der Deutschen moge es ein Ende haben. Der Autor untersucht in seiner Arbeit, welche Personengruppen dieser so genannten Schlussstrichhypothese' zustimmend oder ablehnend gegenuberstehen (und warum). Datengrundlage sind Befragungsdaten, die vom Institut fur Soziologie der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen im Jahr 2002 bei der Besucherbefragung zur Ausstellung Verbrechen der Wehrmacht. Dimensionen des Vernichtungskrieges 1941 - 1944' erhoben wurden. Das Befragungsinstrument, welches dieser Untersuchung zugrunde liegt, war ein achtseitiger standardisierter Fragebogen, der den Besuchern unter anderem Fragen zu ihren Eindrucken aus der Ausstellung, ihrer Beurteilung der Ausstellung, ihren Einstellungen zum und Beruhrungspunkten mit dem Nationalsozialismus stellte. Jung konzentriert sich auf die theoretische Fragestellung der generationalen Pragung und den damit einhergehenden unterschiedlichen Einstellungen in der Schlussstrich-Debatte.
