Explains and demonstrates a revolutionary type of healing work between men and women, gender reconciliation. Based on 15+ years of development, this process has created remarkable results within groups as diverse as nuns and priests in the Catholic Church, and most recently with members of the South African Parliament. The creative and compassionate methods designed by the author and his team at the Satyana Institute address the needs of the couple, and go further than traditional psychological/dialogue forms of interaction between the sexes. Divine Duality emphasizes the transpersonal/spiritual dimension underlying these approaches. By creating a context of forgiveness and mutual appreciation of the sacredness of life, the women and men of a group or institution are empowered to jointly confront the realities of gender oppression and conditioning. No other book currently deals with this subject with the depth of insight and proven results presented here. Divine Duality addresses this gap in the literature and in practice. Readers are presented with spiritual and transpersonal methods aimed at transforming the foundations of gender dynamics in human society. Instead of highlighting the differences between masculine and feminine perspectives, this book focuses on the potential for unity and integration among women and men. * honor and transcend psychological and emotional differences * practical examples of inspiring, real-world healing work

Notable insights and statistics about the plight of oppressed women in India and everywhere are woven throughout this book. This book articulates this potential, and recounts how Maher has already begun a training program for social workers, clergy, and other clinical professionals, who take these lessons back to their home communities and begin to implement them there.
