Sci-fi action thriller starring Gerard Butler. After a series of
natural disasters strike the globe, countries across the world work
together to create a geoengineering programme, called Dutch Boy, to
protect the Earth using a series of satellites designed to control the
planet's climate. However, years later, the satellites begin to
malfunction, leaving the Earth vulnerable to catastrophic climate
events.
Double bill of sci-fi action adventures from director Roland Emmerich. In 'Independence Day' (1996), massive spaceships are spotted hovering above planet Earth and the world stands watching in awe and wonder. This amazement, however, soon turns to terror as the aliens launch an all-out attack, devastating the planet's major cities. As the Earth's survivors try to come to terms with what has happened, a group of Americans including President Thomas J. Whitmore (Bill Pullman), fighter pilot Steve Hiller (Will Smith) and computer boffin David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) decide to fight back. In the sequel, 'Independence Day: Resurgence' (2016), two decades have passed since the alien invasion and the world has pooled together to form Earth Space Defence (ESD), a global organisation designed to protect the planet from any further attacks. With ESD personnel stationed on Earth, the Moon and Mars, they have spent the last 20 years developing technology that was salvaged from the previous attack. Before their defeat, however, the aliens sent a distress signal back to their planet asking for assistance in the form of a more powerful army. When the aliens receive the message they prepare for attack, and this time they are taking no chances.
Step through the stargate with SG-1, a team of soldiers and scientists, as they travel instantaneously to other planets to explore, forge alliances, defuse crises, establish trade, investigate ancient mysteries and defend Earth from such hostile forces as the Goa'uld and the Replicators. Episodes comprise: 'Collateral Damage', 'Ripple Effect' and 'Stronghold'.

For centuries, the Bermuda Triangle has been the location of hundreds of mysterious vanishings. Ships big and small, fighter jets, by-planes, and crafts of all sorts have simply gone missing with no explanation and no clues. All kinds of theories have been posed to explain the Triangle's loss of life, from the really out there to the scientific answers. In the Sci-Fi channel's original movie The Triangle, a journalist, two scientists, and a psychic team up to investigate the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle. Promised $5 million apiece if they solve the age-old riddle, the team members are mostly skeptical about their endeavor--until a series of increasingly bizarre and inexplicable events shatter their scientific complacency forever.
